Re: Problem cocking my s410
Also worth checking that the Allen bolt holding the Cocking bolt is not loose while you are in stripdown mode!

Re: SCOPE / MOUNT HEIGHT , ZERO DISTANCES AND THE EFFECTIVE
Hi, I understand your comments. The problem I have with high mounts is that it forces my head into an unnatural position in order to get good scope alignment and if I'm not comfortable I am more likely to fluff the shot. I tend to limit my ranges to say 40 yards tops and have learnt aim points for u...

Re: S410 CLASSIC
Hi, The firing pot should definitely not be loose. The pot should protrude 57mm from the face of the alloy block it screws into. It is kept locked in this position by a tiny grub screw hidden under the alloy dog-leg block the pressure gauge is mounted onto. As you have to remove the block to get at ...

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?
Hi, Best to contact Julian Bond (bgaltd) on this site to know what you have to do to lower the power to 6-7 ft.lbs (possibly just a hammer spring change). Get to know the 'sweet spot' on you rifle and exploit it to it's best. At 10M you should be able to use a fair bit of it as point of impact shoul...

Re: HFT 500 strip down and setting the firing pot
Hi,
I've read that the HFT500 cylinder is 580mm long and the carbine one is 300mm so you will need to ad 11" (280mm) to the 8 1/2" dimension. I use plastic or aluminium as I was not sure what oozes out of wood under 200 bar pressure!

Re: HFT 500 strip down and setting the firing pot
Hi, You are doing the right thing with the Autosol and degrease. The only way you will know what effect the pot dimension will have is to carry out shotstrings for say 56, 57 and 58mm and compare the graphs. Its a lot of shots though but you could temporarily stuff some pip/rod inside the cylinder t...

The regs I fitted were Robert Lane ones so yes I drilled holes. Robert is in Leicester so not far from you.

Altaros filler/gauge on S410
Hi, I have recently fitted regulators to my .177 S410 rifles and the air gauges now only read regulator set pressure (until it drops very low anyway). As I cannot be bothered to count the number of shots I have fired during a session and only have 10 fingers and thumbs to count on I decided to fit t...
