Re: Under powered s410

When did you last clean the hammer rail? BBF What does cleaning the hammer rail actually achieve? Hi, The hammer should slide on the rail like ice on polished Teflon. If it gets dirty then it tends to drag and power and consistency are lost. They are best run either dry (the hammer has self lubrica...

Re: Hawke nite-eye-4-16x50

Hi,

Does it not focus at all using the PA ring on the objective (front) end? Ignore the yardage markings as they can be miles out.

Re: s410 carbine mounts.

Hi,

... suppose it could do especially if it was more than just touching. Would have thought that all shots would have been affected though not just one or two. More likely to be the fault of the nut behind the trigger ;)

Re: s410 carbine mounts.

Hi, Sportsmatch's website gives the all important scope rail to bottom of scope tube dimension. I have just measured The magazine and I reckon it sticks up about 14mm. Some scope saddles drop below the scope tube by say 3mm. This means that you need a mount that will give the rail to tube dimension ...

Re: s410 carbine mounts.

Hi, Don't know about your scope in question but my own S410 has medium mounts fitted to a variety of scopes and clearance has not been a problem. Best bet is to take your rifle and scope into a RFD and check clearance before purchase. Mark Edit;- Just looked at my .22 S410 and that rifle has Sportsm...

Re: Creating a shot string

Hi, Personally I would do a complete string from 190 bar down to the point where the velocity drops to your start velocity. If your initial 190 bar shots are 700 fps or so then keep shooting until they are about the same (this was after 150 shots in my classic .177 and about 100 in my .22 carbine th...

Re: S410f left hand bolt swap

Hi, As others have said above re online stripdown guides/videos assuming you have no Anti-Tamper fitted. I have used this m clip to demonstrate but there are others. When you get to the point shown at 7:28 into the clip TubeShot.jpg The highlighted silver pin has to be moved from one side of the slo...

Re: Looking for o-ring (S650) - Anyone feeling generous?

Hi, User bgaltd on this very site has S650 listed as :- "S650 8 X 1.25 O RING 70 SHURE" for 44p (10% off this if a member of this site) plus postage. Hope this helps. As it's only the one next to the bolt handle I have used ALDI kit ones myself as its only to provide a little resistance on...

Re: S410F anti tamper, whats what?

Hi, I would imagine that bgaltd on this site will have all of your needs. The shearhead thingy is a cover for a tiny grub screw underneath. Mine now have a domed head Allen type fitting meaning if needs be I can get at the screw again if required. Once you have drilled out the other two then underne...
