Re: chrono test

Hi, All of the shots please to get the full picture. Start and end fill pressures would be good if you know them also. I base the sweet spot as being all shots that are within 1.5% of the maximum velocity recorded. I.e if maximum was 790 fps then any shot within 12 fps of that (778 and above) my spr...

Re: chrono test

If you could post up those fps figures her in the form 767 768 759 etc I can put it into my spreadsheet and give you some figures and a graph which me useful. Is this an older gun by any chance? Re: Shot count

About 65 on my classic from a 160 bar fill. You should expect about 40 I reckon. Total spread of 12fps is my sweet spot.

Re: Help please

Hi, Things to look at are:- 1. Is the barrel the correct way round. i.e the hole in the brass piece facing the transfer port. (I find it easier to align the barrel to the bolt housing while in dismantled state) 2. Did you refit the very thin o-ring between bolt housing and hammer block assembly (S42...

Re: S410 stripdown

Hi,

IIRC someone fixed it by sliding a piece of heatshrink sleeving down the hammer spring and then shrinking it on. It didn't cover the whole spring just the coils in the middle. Also search for 'de-pinger' depending on where the noise is coming from.

Re: pressure over flow valve

Hi, " The filling pressure of the S410F is 190 bar (2755psi). Filling to a higher pressure will not increase either power or number of shots. Over filling will lower the power and may cause irreparable damage to the cylinder. " The above is taken from the manual available online. Besides f...

Re: air arms 410 classic

Hi, .... and welcome to the forum. I can't answer the first part of your post but with regards to the power level it may be about right although it seems low to you. You really need to test the power level at about 130 bar as this is where power is usually at its absolute peak. You also need to use ...

Re: Sweet spot

I shoot mine until the velocity drops to the ones you started with. Then start to refill and make a note of the pressure on the gauge you filled with. Post all the results up here in fps. Start and end pressures and pellets used. Boring job though :D
