Re: Just how much care is needed when dismantling PCP's?....

Hmmmm. So this is a rifle designed for CO2 and converted to run on compressed air at a much higher pressure than it was designed for? Or am I missing something?

Re: chrono test

Hi, My s410 and my friends S400 exhibit more or less the same power curves and are both standard rifles (mine has never been apart as it has anti-tamper still fitted). The S400 has had a hammer rail polish and is more consistant shot to shot but the curve is the same. Looking at other curves in the ...

Re: chrono test

Nice one Chris I'm seriously thinking of getting a Lane regulator for my S410. I only get about 30 consistent shots from a fill, your 120 shots look amazing Hi, What rifle do you only get 30 shots from. An unregged S4*0 .177 classic will give 60+ shots in it's sweet spot (12 fps total spread) and m...

Re: chrono test

As you say a new or different load of pellets may well even out the graph. Encouraging results though.

Did you have to do much tuning or were Roberts instructions pretty good?

HFT500 Shotstring

Hi, I was recently given a shotstring to produce a graph for. Rifle was an HFT500 firing 8.4 grain AADF pellets. Filled to 190 and shot down to 110 bar. Graph looks like this:- HFT500.jpg Something strange has happened here and it has once happened to me. The graph seems to be in two parts with shot...

Re: chrono test

I think it was more likely the valve itself (read cloverleafs bit). I only changed the springs as it meant that all of the rifles internals were 'as new'. Oddly enough accuracy improved massively also but I am not sure why exactly.

Re: chrono test

Hi .... and here goes. This:- HB_S410Carbine.jpg .... is a plot of your power curve. Depends on how you quantify the 'sweet spot' but using a 1.5% rule (12fps as shown between the orange lines on the graph) would mean you only have 23 shots. Using a 20fps figure gives 40 shots. Comapare that to my o...
