Re: Shooting results question

I really have no idea what kind of grease I have on my rifle parts or it’s properties. I think I’ll have to do a little research into this and see if what I have been using is a good one to use.

Re: Shooting results question

Peter, I hadn’t considered the grease but that could be a possible factor. Could definitely change velocity.

Shooting results question

I shot my Pro Sport .117 yesterday and had some interesting results I’d like to share. Shooting at 2700 ft elevation, clear sky, around 60 deg F, light to no winds, shooting at 35 yards from sand bags. Shooting from mid to late afternoon with barometric pressure dropping (I didn’t note the pressure ...

Thoughts on new AA Pro Sport

I just received a new Pro Sport.117 walnut stock yesterday and took it out today. Initial thoughts: Excellent fit and finish. Likes pellets in the 7.5 grain range. Appears to be very accurate. Last 5 shot group of the day was under 1/2" at 35 yards. It's harder to cock than my TX200 by a good m...

Re: Question on trigger.

FPoole, good idea. I'm going to try throughout degreasing it with break cleaner and see if I can get something to stick to it and pull it out. The spacer is delren I believe. If that doesn't work, the drill bit will be the next thing on the agenda. When I pushed the spacer into the piston, it felt l...

Re: Question on trigger.

Thanks. I tried degreasing with isopropyl alcohol, which didn't work, but I think I have a can of brake cleaner in the garage, I'll give it a try. I also tried using the piston with strong double back tape. I wondered what effect that spacer would have. If I can get it out I'll see if I pick up more...

Re: Question on trigger.

Thought I'd post an update on my quest for more power. I installed the TinBum kit and messed the job up. I followed instructions for install putting spacer into the piston, installling the other parts correctly lubricating and so on. The rifle wouldn't cock. As the spring was somewhat longer than an...

Re: Question on trigger.

Pelletcaster, the power out is 11.8 fpe. I too have the Vortek installed. It does exactly what it claims. Really smooths out the rifle. Accuracy is excellent. I may end up putting it back in at the end of this little experiment. I ordered a piston seal: (m, (is this the seal)? I'm going to convert b...

Re: Question on trigger.

Thank you for the replies. I reprofiled the sear, and re-set up the trigger and it's much better now. Definite two stage feel now. The intermittent safety was due to the charging handle making contact with the 3mm flat head counter sunk screw that fastens the stock mounting bracket to the bottom of ...

Question on trigger.

Hello. I'm new to the forum. I'm a long time shooter of smokeless powder rifles, pistols, and revolvers. One thing that any weapon I own must have is a very good trigger. I like a crisp release, and a 2.5 - 4 lb pull dependent upon weather it's a hand gun or rifle. I like pistols around the 3 lb ran...
