Re: 510R Shroad and Silencer Removal

I wouldn't have thought removing the silencer would invalidate the warranty. If it's the S510 Ultimate Sporter you can fit a stripper without removing the shroud. If it's the regular S510 the silencer is screwed in to the shroud and I'm guessing (I've never looked at it) the shroud would need to be ...

Re: Ultimate Sporter R Low Power

I agree with Roger5, send it back. There is a point in putting a full string over the chrono. At present you have no idea what the problem is. Why would you assume it's the reg? I'd need to see how it's performing off reg to establish if the variation is independent of regulation. I'd also want to k...

Re: Ultimate Sporter R Low Power

If the gun was originally producing higher power it probably isn't as simple as needing a single adjustment. First check there are no leaks from the breech seal or the transfer port. You should be able to feel a puff of air when fired or, if the leak is small, detect it with talcum powder or shaving...

Re: noisy s410

Is it the report from the barrel that's noisy, or is it from the action, or is it a ping from the cylinder? Have you checked the power? Well over or well under spec. I can't see this having anything to do with seals except perhaps a bad leak from the breech seal, which should be easy to detect. Comp...

Re: LOSS OF PRESURE S410

Is the gauge reliable? I'd check against bottle/pump gauge at both refill and full pressure. I'd also check the shots with a chrono. If the power is ok and consistent I'd look at the firing valve. It may be sealing at 190 bar but when the pressure drops it starts to leak. You should be able to confi...

Re: scope mounts

The downside of the taller mounts is you loose your cheek contact unless you have an adjustable cheek piece,. If the cheek piece is adjustable you van vary the height to alter near and far zeros, which increase with increasing scope height. If you want to shim more than 0.3 mm make some tapered shim...

Re: Scratch repair

I've used the same touch up pen on a Weihrauch... didn't like the result - too blue - so went over the top with a black permanent marker. It's a better colour but I don't think either offer any rust protection.

Re: Printed Czech magazines...

I had one break up with the action jamming. The magazine advance spring cut into the plastic and the casing cracked. It's difficult to say what was the cause - the spring, the magazine or a bad pellet feed. Vlad sent me a free replacement with a thicker profile on the casing, and I replaced the bent...

Re: Barrel Breech O ring

It's fiddly on the S410/510 especially if you use an oversize ring... if you search the forum you'll find some posts on this. The o-rings always flip sideways, making them difficult to get into the groove when you have restricted access. If you have trouble with a rod in the barrel, here's what I di...

Re: Loving my TX - latest obsession.

Have to agree with Gary... different setups suit different shooters... and I get best results with a lazy cycle. I've left my Mk3 as standard (even with a slight twang) as I found it outshoots other faster cycling rifles including my HC, standard Mk2 and a tuned 97k.
