Re: S400 problem

OK all fixed and back to full working order. Re the breach seal, when you fit the barrel into the block, you get the gap between the end of the brass loading port and the end of the barrel brass ferrule, that's where the breach seal fits. If you remove the barrel you can hook the seal out from the f...

Re: S400 problem

OK thanks Rog. Also I now see that there are two types of breach seal ? I have a bag with S536 seals, which I read are for the older guns (mine is 2005) and they changed to FP121 for the later guns ? I may have fited the wrong one last time, but as I have the S536 I'll try that. I found it easier to...

Re: S400 problem

Hi Rog, yes OK understood Re the position of the screws on the block that clamp the TP seal. I see it's possible to get a delrin plastic TP seal washer ? are these any good ? Also, should there be any O ring on the barrel itself where it slides into the housing block ? I don't have one on mine, but ...

Re: S400 problem

OK I figured it all out.... my breach seal has gone AWOL :-( So I guess that's why the pellet is moving off center, the nose is dropping into the little groove where the seal sits, and also why I can feel air escaping when I shoot... though the two must somehow be related. Thanks for the advice Rog....

Re: S400 problem

Rifle is 2005. I definitely have the wrong transfer port seal, because the o/d is 7.5mm approx and the thickness is 0.8, weird because I still have the kit and the little bags with the part numbers on, although the photocopy sheet with the pictures is a bit tricky to follow, as they seem slightly di...

Re: S400 problem

Hi Rog...thanks for the reply. I have started using JSB heavy pellets, presiously was using JSB exact diabalo .177. It's been ok with the heavy and I also tried the diabalo and it's the same. I notice it just as the bolt gets to it's final travel, its started to jam, and on closer inspection when I ...

S400 problem

I've had my AA S400 for a number of years now, it's in great condition, well looked after and I serviced it with a new seal kit about 12 months ago. I also have the Rowan 10 shot mag. Just recently I've noticed two problems, maybe connected ? First is that the pellet loading bolt is getting jammed a...

Re: S400 help

It's my mistake, I ordered the wrong part.... no problem though, they're happy to exchange it for me if I return the original one :-)

No need to worry about being over 12ft/lbs I have a chrono, so would have soon spotted that and rectified it.

Re: S400 help

I contacted them and they said I've ordered the hammer spring for the FAC version of the gun, and mine is not an FAC rifle it's a sub 12 ft/lbs one... In the ad I just saw S400 Hammer spring, didn't realise that they were different... oops.
