Re: Dialing for elevation.

Its been 20 years but I used elevation clicks and a table taped to the stock. Table generated on the sighting range. Using a big scope on max magnification allowed range finding by focus. Combine the two gives accurate ranging. Only held over for windage. This was FT. Never shot a bunny in my life. ...

Re: Changing left hand bolt to right hand?

Yes. The handle arm and the boss have separate part numbers. The screw passes thru a hole in the arm so you can swivel it 180.

I used green Loctite on truck engine roller conveyor sprockets in 1980 in place of keyways and grub screws. Its an engineering adhesive.

Re: Changing left hand bolt to right hand?

The standard AA factory alloy bolt handle comes in two pieces and can be assembled either way round. Of you have one with an aftermarket handle like Rowan one piece brass handle then you will have to replace it When replacing the handle on the bolt you must avoid getting loctite in the bolt housing....

Re: Removed the brass firing pot.

What did you do with the valve spring S306?
If there wasn't one and you have no reg fitted then that may have been the problem.
The tube adjusts in and out to tension the valve spring. Quite interesting it is consistent at all.

Re: New Arrival

Take some cut up bits of coke can to shim up the scope at the back if you still can’t get the elevation. You will need to take care tightening up.

Re: Shortening the first stage of trigger

I agree with Rog, and I also wouldn't recommend shortening what is a safety feature. You know you can back off from a shot and release stage 1, and be sure that the sears go back to where they started. You're also not going to bump off a shot. But if you really want to with the old chassis, and you ...

At least you get to vote for your president. Ours gets decided in a Brussels conclave. And you know your president's name. Mind you they have something in common, yours believes passionately in the United States of America and the US army, ours believes passionately in the United States of Europe an...
