Re: HFT500 barrel
It's a push fit, but the trouble with mine, and a couple of others I've heard of is that it not tight enough! Have a look at this post started by me soon after I first got the HFT500 www.airarmsownersclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3257 If I had this problem again, I would use low-strength Loctite 222 ...

Re: BTAS regged S410 shot count
I get around 100 good shots from my Altaros regged S400 filled to 200 bar. I haven't tried filling it to 210 - yet ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
Like you, I am not sure about some of the extreme shot counts you hear about, but personally I'm happy with 100.

Re: Light weight cylinder S510 ?
According to their website, A and M seem to make an Air Arms cylinder and whoever it is that make the 'Aerospace' cylinders might be able to help. But before spending money on a new cylinder I suggest you try to get your hands on a standard AA stock to try, or better still a Customstock C800. You mi...

Re: Strange S400 Chrony results left me baffled
First off, 0.5 mm on the pot would make a small difference in the power curve, but strictly fine adjustment nothing like you are seeing. 57-ish is just a sensible place to start. It should be easy enough to see whether the valve is damaged. The pin should slide in and out absolutely smoothly under i...

Re: Strange S400 Chrony results left me baffled
Ooh err :? I agree with Tonyc. Unless the gun has been seriously modified in some way, the problem is most likely to be with the valve or pot. I've seen something like this (although not so extreme) with very low valve spring pressure. If you haven't already done so, I suggest you remove the pot, cl...

Re: Hft/ ultimate sporter hamster
Low strength Loctite did the job for me, but it was never a very good fit anyway so I got rid of it and bought a superb matching laminate one from Tommy Bennett of Tilly Gunstocks. Have a look at his page on Facebook if you are interested.

Re: S510 power adjustment screw creeping?
3 x 3 cup point grub screw - never had a problem on any gun, and I've used it on quite a few now. If the power screw is very loose it might reduce your power an fps or two, as the grub screw pushes it very slightly down before it locks, but that's just means the usual Air Arms trial-and-error approa...

Re: S510 power adjustment screw creeping?
If the grub screw is tight, it locks the adjuster against the threads and it won't move in either direction.

Re: S510 power adjustment screw creeping?
Tony, I'm not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but I suggest you go back to the basic, recommended set up and work from there. First set your reg to the 100 bar recommended by Altaros for standard, S-series guns (trial-and-error if you haven't got a reg tester, but not difficult). Then install exac...
