S510 - a bit worried

Hi all, I could do with a bit of advice please. I have a very nice ( unmolested, I believe ) S510 in .22 flavour. I put it over an F1 Chrony yesterday and found it was doing 11.32ft Lbs with RWS Superfields 15.9grains. Pressure was 150bar and it varied between 586 and 600fps. ( Average 593.7 ) I the...

Squirrel feeders.

Hi guys, I have seen a number of different designs of feeders for squirrels, but most seem to fall broadly into two categories. Firstly, those with a loose lid that the squirrels push up to reach the feed inside and secondly, those where the bait food is dispensed or drops out of a hole or slot at t...

Re: Walter Mitty

I just love these threads on other forums! Someone returning to shooting after a 4 year break buying an HW springer in .177 and instantly getting 1/4 inch groups at 57 yards! WOW! I'm obviously bloody useless, I'm giving up shooting the PS and S200 and going to take up knitting and bowls, then sit ...

Re: Walter Mitty

Must be a misprint. He meant to say .22 and he's shooting 1 shot groups. I forget what was being shot, but could this be the same guy that shot standing in a ditch and propped on a fence post? That thread was a real good one. Not to mention the guy who regularly (his word, if I remember rightly) hi...

Re: day time rats!

Dave, try baiting by smearing some peanut butter onto a brick or similar immovable object. The rats will stop and lick the bait but obviously can't take it off to their holes as they can with cat food. Put it where you want so you have a good shooting position. They can then eat their main course an...

Decoying woodies

Want to try decoying wood pigeons. I would appreciate any advice as to what kind of terrain is best,(grass field or crops- not a lot of those near me!), How to set up( hides etc ) and what sort of deeks you use and how you set them out. Many thanks,Mark
