Re: Robert Lane regulator installed in my S410

Yes, like i say, no regged S410 i have ever seen betters what I've got in my non-regged S410s. I cannot speak to the issue of .177s, but i think the best advice to anyone really is to try non-regged options first (full clean and tune up) and if its still not to your liking, then get a reg. You may w...

Re: Robert Lane regulator installed in my S410

Hey Man That's very kind of you and thank you for the kind support. The book itself is more or less done. I can always think of adding this or that, but to be honest as far as I'm concerned only needs a polish now and some extra pictures for some illustration that I'll get this year. I'm in no rush ...

Re: Robert Lane regulator installed in my S410

Morning Dr B, stripping, polishing to a mirror finish what? Lubing what? Which springs? Tweaking what? where are you putting spacers? I like to learn stuff. Hi Roger. I can refer you to the fully qualified RFD and AA-tuner who did it if you want. I also spoke to one of the countrys leading PCP tune...

Re: Robert Lane regulator installed in my S410

Has anyone explored the benefits from simply stripping, polishing to a mirror finish, lubing and setting up of S410s? Thats all mine had for its tune up (done by a tuner), with some spring tension tweaks and spacers. I've got 68 shots with a 3fps variability in the sweet spot - maxs at 11.80ft-lbs a...

Re: Invincible squirrel

A POI "right" behind the eye is not optimal to my mind. The skull thickens to accommodate the eye socket there. I'd pick a POI nearer the base of the ear. The skull is thinner and you're likely to take the brain stem as well. Switch POI, not calibre. I've been shooting squizzers for 30+ ye...

How do you calculate your efficiency?

So, on many forums people post pictures of their full bags of dead quarry or even posing pictures of themselves with lots of dead critters. That's fine and I dont judge. Its not for me. You cant take pictures of the ones you spooked and missed. You might bring 10 rabbits home, but what if you saw 40...

Re: My first go with.177

I have little issue with shooting quarry out to 35-40yds with a .22. nor should any experienced shooter. The notion of threading is silly and not one I've ever really encountered. If there are too many twigs in view - dont take the shot as its inhumane irrespective of calibre. If shooting in dense c...
