Re: Squirrel feeders.

I use the hole in the bottom type with metal around the hole to stop them biting their way in. Keep moving them about to find the best spot. Squirrels can be fussy about their free meals. I find trees away from bushes work. They may fear being ambushed. I don't bother with a hide. Sitting still with...

Re: Hi, newbie to the forum

Hello, pros port a great gun. Not sure about not being able to reset safety? I simply recock the lever and the safety button pops back out. Can be hard to get permissions. I went pheasant beating and got the squirrel control job from the keeper. Try people with horses. Rabbit holes in paddocks are n...

Re: ProSport .177 tuning

Hello, There is a YouTube video of a TX200 strip down. The only difference is the extra bolt on PS Where the cocking lever attaches. No spring compresser needed as preload is very light I fitted a tinbum derlon ( plastic) spring guide but kept metal top hat As plastic one reduced power a lot. Gun is...

Re: My first go with.177

I made the change a few years ago and have had no problems at all. Airgun world doing a calibre comparison series now And very interesting. Apart from the flatter trajectory, 177 also causes a wider Wound Chanel and has less penetration than .22. The opposite to what most people think. The only draw...

pro sport and lgv greasy bits

Am I the only one to think that the walther lgv internals look awfully like those of a pro sport or tx200? So much so that I was wondering if a bit of a deal was done. All the hype about revolutionary design on the LGV and it looks as though they reinvented the wheel. I have to say that my LGV shoot...

Re: swivel studs

Cant answer directly. I have a prosport and the cocking lever is in the way. My solution is a loop of leather around the barrel with a D ring on it to attach sling. When you put sling over shoulder, the loop is pulled down the barrel so it wont fall off. Other end of sling goes into hole in leather ...

Re: TX's & Prosport

I have been out in the field with prospprt. No squirrels about so had a good target session. I am getting 1 inch groups at 40 yards leaning on a branch. As good as I could do with a PCP. I used to use Accupels and they grouped well. Not so good now. Accupel FTs Seem to work much better. Heavier pell...

Re: squirrel habbits

Yes, I think it is the cold today. I would agree they don't like rain.
Just annoying when I take time off work and nothing shows.
Makes the good days more enjoyable.

squirrel habbits

I am lucky to have a permission with 3 big woods. Some days I can shoot half a dozen squirrels in an hour. Other days I don't see one all day.
My question is ; where do they go? They must eat and I cover the favourite places but some days, not a sniff.
